Money is never just about money. Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matt 6:21). The way we spend, save, and worry about money shows what we really trust. This series will help us head Jesus’ words about money with fresh ears, so that we learn to treasure Him above all else. While the studies are drawn from a number of books of the bible, you will see that most weeks are from Jesus’ direct teaching. Jesus taught a lot about money and possessions and the heart – over these seven weeks we may only begin to feel the breadth and force of his teaching on where our hearts need to be when it comes to money. Money is a hot topic! We live in a rich area and a wealthy country but there is also great disparity. Some are comfortable, others feel locked out of the housing market, many are stretched to cover mortgages.
