Our Vision

We want to see a Northern Beaches that knows Jesus

There are around 250,000 people living on the Northern Beaches, many of whom need to hear the gospel, believe in Jesus and respond in repentance and faith. This gospel urgency drives our purpose as a church. As a church, we’re committed to impacting this region, and the world, with the love that Jesus has shown us so that people might find true life in him. So how are we planning to see that happen?

Our mission is to make disciples who grow to maturity in Christ for God’s glory

This isn’t new for the church – it’s been the mission of the church from the first century onwards! By his Spirit and through his word, God is at work transforming his people into the likeness of his Son (2 Cor 3:18; Col 1:28). As a church, that’s our mission – to grow to maturity in Christ such that God uses our lives, through word and deed, to reach more people with the good news of Jesus.

Our Beliefs

At St Faith’s Anglican Church, we uphold the fundamental truths of the christian faith, including:

  • The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture as originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
  • The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
  • The universal sinfulness and guilt of humanity since the fall, rendering men and women subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
  • The conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit and his birth by the virgin Mary.
  • Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death, as our representative and substitute, of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
  • The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
  • The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective in the individual sinner, granting him or her repentance towards God, and faith in Jesus Christ.
  • The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
  • The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Compassion - Releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name

Members of St Faith's are passionate about supporting the ongoing work of Compassion to "release children from poverty in Jesus' name". Many of our members sponsor children all over the world, but particularly in the City of Iriga in the Philippines where we sponsor over 120 children at various locations in that city, partnering with local churches who assist with the spiritual, economic, social, physical and emotional development of children living in extreme poverty. Please visit the Compassion Australia website for further details.

Watoto - Rescue Raise Rebuild

Members of St Faith's are passionate about supporting the ongoing work of Watoto as they seek to "rescue, raise and rebuild" the nation of Uganda through caring and providing for vulnerable women and children with holistic care. The Watoto model involves physical care, medical intervention, education, counselling, along with spiritual discipleship. St Faith's members are involved in sponsorship of both individual women and children, as well as sponsorship of whole homes of Ugandan orphans. Please visit the Watoto website for further details.
