Six weeks to go until we depart for Uganda. We’re all getting very excited! We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of people who have helped us raise over $37,000 which is amazing. Thankyou for your generosity and prayers. God has certainly walked before us in making this happen. This money will be used for building a classroom in Gulu, Northern Uganda, sponsoring three children and one baby for three years and to buy much needed equipment for Baby Watoto.

Below is a list of smaller items that we are asking people to buy for the babies.

  • Micro-Fleece sleepers (all in one jammies) in 12 month to 5T sizes, and preferably in dark colors. Cotton sleepers are also good if they can be found cheaply, they just don’t last as long.
  • Easiyo yogurt sachets
  • Take and toss brand 10 oz sippy cups with lids (not straws)
  • Tagaderm and Duoderm medical tapes
  • Wash cloths
  • Chocolate colored cheap adult towels
  • Bumbo seats
  • Plastic bibs (the thick plastic bright colored ones – last forever!)
  • Musical toys / instruments (shakers, etc)
  • Portable hard drives and flash disks for backing up computers and moving documents

Some of these items can be purchased from the supermarket. If you’re able to help, it would be greatly appreciated. There will be a black plastic container placed at the back of the church with Watoto clearly marked on it. We are collecting items on 10th and 17th March (the next two Sundays).

Thank you for your support and God bless,

Kathy & Stuart Neilson and the Build Team
